David Marsh graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) Degree in June 1981.

David Marsh began his training as a Chartered Accountant with the predecessor firm of Ernst & Young in September 1981. He worked in the Audit Division of the firm and became a senior Accountant before he left in May 1985.

David moved to Ernst & Young, Jersey, Channel Islands as a Senior Accountant and became Audit Manager in 1987. In August 1989, David returned to Ireland as Audit Manager for Ormsby & Rhodes and in April 1993 set up his own accounting practice as D.J. Marsh & Associates.

David merged his practice with Ormsby & Rhodes on 1 January 1999 and became a partner in the firm. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, a Registered Auditor, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and is approved to act under the Investment Intermediaries Act.

David is currently responsible for the Audit Department of Ormsby & Rhodes. His prime interests are in audit, corporate advisory services and corporate reconstruction. His client base includes high net worth individuals, medium sized manufacturing companies and international companies requiring tax and back office support. David also has a significant amount of experience dealing with conflict resolution and shareholder disputes.

David also looks after a number of non for profit entities advising on the latest issues affecting their accounts including issues in respect of the new Charity Regulatory in Ireland and SORP accounts.

David is also active in the insolvency sector and holds a license as an Insolvency Practitioner. He acts as a liquidator and also provides advice in this area to directors/companies on restructuring.
