Rachel Commenced her tax training with a big four firm in 2001, where she held the position of Tax Specialist within the Tax and Legal Services Department. Rachel worked with the Corporation Tax compliance teams, who were responsible for carrying out the tax reviews of multinational corporations, groups and large Irish businesses.

Rachel joined the Ormsby & Rhodes Tax Department in 2002, where she is now head of the Corporation Tax Compliance Unit. Rachel is fully responsible for dealing with all Corporation Tax compliance for our wide range of clients who are mainly involved in the indigenous industry, as well as UK companies and companies based in Europe / USA operating branches in Ireland. She also deals with Revenue Audits and budget controls.

Rachel is also responsible for managing a number of personal tax clients, where she looks after their Income Tax, Succession Planning and Trust & Estates compliance requirements. Rachel previously held the position of Assistant Income Tax Manager.

Rachel has written articles for Accountancy Ireland and prepared a detailed analysis on the Irish austerity budget for the years 2010 and 2011. This was published in both Irish national and local newspapers and magazines.

Rachel provides in-house training in tax matters to the Audit Department, she also organises and presents a graduate induction tax course for trainee Audit staff.

Rachel is a member of the Irish Taxation Institute, Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and was placed third in Ireland in her Part 1 exams. Rachel attained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in University College Dublin, where she specialised in the International Business Mode which led to her starting a career in Tax. Rachel obtained first class honours in her final exams, with an overall average of 2:1 honours degree.
